No one can doubt that the Rugby World Cup was a great sporting event. The XV de France, the flag-bearers of French rugby, stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Aix-en-Provence for a fortnight in preparation for their match against Italy. As part of an exhibition organised within the walls of the hotel, I had the immense pleasure of seeing one of my works signed by all the players and staff of the French team. Antoine Dupont, Damian Penaud, Gaël Fickou and all the others have added a new artistic touch to this painting. It’s a great source of pride for me to see my signature alongside those of these rugby artists.
